The Scriptures say that all things were created by the Word, God. We are also taught that whatever God created was good, perfect ,spiritual, and eternal. Since matter has none of these qualities, it stands to reason that matter was not created by God, Spirit. Then where did matter come from? Here Christian Science answers our question by revealing that this fact: For right reasoning that should be but one fact before the thought, namely, spiritual existence. In reality there is no other existence, since Life cannot be united to its unlikeness, mortality.( Science & Health p.492:3-6)
If we accept this revelation we see that matter never came into being ,but is an illusion; it seems to be but it is not. Matter is unreal. We need to understand this if we would heal diseases for disease, like matter, is unreal and is therefore no part of God's creation. Thus we deny all disease and affirm our true being as expressive of God's perfection and harmony just where the disease claims to be.
We know ourselves even as we are known of God. This true knowing heals.
